Considering several confusions that occurred lately regarding the official representative of 1001buku community in national books activity, we inform that starting August 2003, Ms. Dwi Andayani is the Coordinator of 1001buku activity, who is elected through open-polling and democratic by the member of 1001buku mailing list. Under the coordination of Ms. Andayani, 1001buku has the official committee that is elected and assigned through the regular and internal meeting of 1001buku.

Cooperation, partnership, and communication in any form, that is important and still within the limitation in accordance to the vision and mission of 1001buku, is considered as official only if it is done through the Coordinator of 1001buku activity or one of the committee. We need to clearly define this issue again concerning the frame work of 1001buku that is very flexible, non-hierarchical, and based on its volunteers, thus it is very vulnerable toward abuse.

This official letter of announcement is arranged and distributed for anticipating the misuse of name, logo, and the resources of 1001buku Community by individual or groups without the notice from 1001buku Community.

We appreciate very much the attention, support and cooperation from all partners so that 1001buku can contribute more books for children that are less fortunate.
