SPD and Cooking Class on Sunday, 6 March 2005
25 April 2005, by: Dwi/Rachmat
That day, it rained continuously from morning to midday, thus the plan to go to the secretariat at 10.00 had to be delayed. Finally at 13.30, Faizal (a new volunteer in 1001buku) came to pick up Dwi, Arum and Ade to leave together for Ciputat. Arriving at 14.15, Unay and his family, Avip, Ariyo, his sister Puput and a friend from UI Book Festival were already there. At the same time, the cooking class of Bu Wati was taking place as there was a contest between the mothers who live around the secretariat.
While others were arranging the shelves and the contest was happening, Ariyo with his capability as ?The Rabbit Prince? charmed 15 children who surrounded him enthusiastically. The Prince told different stories so expressively that the children were amused and laughed until the story telling was over at 16.30. SPD was started around 17.00 after everybody was full from Mas Dower?s meat balls and cold Teh Botol. Only 8 people were involved but 4 boxes full of books for Aceh had successfully been packed.
Only a few people came, but the work was done!!
